Radio - Sunday, December 12th, 2016

Last night, I watched Toronto FC lose to the Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup Final. Toronto played better and came closest to winning but the game was decided by penalty kicks, however a significant contributor to the lose was a past Toronto FC player by the name of Stefan Frei. Frei was a starting keeper and in the end he was treated terribly by MLSE. Frei made the save of the game that kept Toronto FC from winning and I wish I could say this is the first time that a former Toronto FC player has lead to this team's undoing but it is more often the norm. People in Toronto who follow pro sports teams from this city refer to a curse on the city's team. However we thought this team we could beat the curse. In our lose, I kept singing the line "This is as good as it ever gets", a line from Problem Children's "On the Air". So we started tonight's show with that very song. I participated in a podcast for Red Nation On-line called East Side Stand up where you can hear a more through analysis of the lose. Listen to tonight's radio show on the player below of download an MP3 file here.
