Trouble in the Camera Club

I just got my copy this afternoon, so it is finally out. It looks amazing. Don Pyle's collection of photos he took of bands playing Toronto between 1976 and 1980. Lots of never seen before photos unless you saw his exhibit at the Beaver in 2007. And there is some commentary as well, which gives you background on the shows that he shot, the camera he used, the folks who made up the Toronto scene, and the school that Don went to. Everything from Blue Oyster Cult and Cheap Trick to the the Toronto punk scene with the Viletones and the Diodes to the obscure bands like the Verbs and the Hate. A lot of cultural pieces to a past that Toronto has tried to bury. The evidence is now found in this beautiful coffee table like book of photos and stories. And it looks like you can order it through ECW Press at http://www.ecwpress.com/ or go to Don's website at http://www.donpyle.com/.
