The Regulators "What's In The City" ep

The Regulators were one of the few punk bands from London Ontario. They were heavily influenced by Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground and even had a female keyboard player which was a little unique among the groups in the city. Their first single was the third release on Ready Records. The band featured The Regulators are: Jeff Morritt on vocals and guitar, Dave Lightfoot on vocals and bass, Jay Henderson on vocals and drums, and Debbie Horowitz on vocals and piano. The songs on the single are:

1. That's Right, Nothing's Left
2. What's In The City

Flyer - the Hate

The Hate were a band that I heard about in an interview with the Ugly. The singer's name was Angie and he was known as Mr. Shit. This flyer is evidence of the band's existence. From the archives of Henry Martinuk.

Flyer - Friday July 13, 1979

A show on Friday the 13th. This show was dubbed Summer Assault '79. Arson headlined and Tyranna opened up again as special guests. The show toook place at Larry's Hideaway which was at 121 Carlton Street which was at the corner of Carlton and Jarvis. It was one of the only buildings on the block where Alan Gardens is. I suspect that the woman in bondage on the flyer may have had something to do with Larry's close proximity to the Track which was the name for the south end of the park where the prostitutes would hook.

Various Artists "Permanent New Wave" LP

Montreco had just agreed to release a Viletones record. I don't think they realized it was a previously released 7". They had done an ep by the Action and were working with a band from L.A. called Venus and the Razor Blades. This compilation was the label's last release before going bankrupt. They did have other releases planned outside of this sampler, but they never came to fruitition. My favourite song on this is the opening trackl by X Ray Spex.

The songs on here are:
1. X Ray Spex - Oh Bondage
2. Viletones - Screaming Fist
3. the Action - T.V.'s on the Blink
4. Venus and the Razor Blades - All Right You Guys
5. Ronnie Lee - Some Like it Hot
6. Pretty Boy Floyd - Rough Tough, Pretty Too
7. Elda Stiletto - Feed Back
8. Venus and the Razor Blades - (I Wanna Be) Where the Boys are
9. Jo Ckitch - 6,000,001
10. The Action - Down Town Boys
11. Alias - Disorganized Crime
12. Pretty Boy Floyd - I Rock Cause I Like It
13. Ronnie Lee - Dare to be Different
14. X Ray Spex - Cliche
